From San Francisco to Omaha to Sioux City to Des Moines. It was a long week, but I enjoyed the country side of America: the long road stretch, blood orange sunsets, and warm air. I ended the week in Des Moines, but not before enjoying a walk through the High Trestle Trail from Madrid to Woodward, Iowa.
As one of the largest trail bridges in the world, the bridge extends half a mile across the Des Moines River Valley. As a California native, it’s strange seeing flat land for miles and miles and miles across, but it was truly unreal, placid, and the perfect place to decompress.
It’s moments like these that make it worth while.
